Chanelle is a seasoned planner with over 20 years’ experience in environmental and resource management across local government and private consulting in New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. For more than 11 years, she has excelled as a Senior Resource Management Planner at Cato Bolam, combining a deep understanding of the company’s multidisciplinary expertise with an insider’s knowledge of Council processes, local communities, and key stakeholders. She is highly skilled at managing complex resource consenting processes, balancing expert input with client priorities, and fostering lasting, positive industry relationships.

She specialises in resource consenting and enforcement, project management, and the preparation and review of Assessments of Environmental Effects (AEE). Chanelle also provides land development scoping, due diligence, and pre-application advice, setting projects up for success from the outset.

Chanelle is recognised for her exceptional organisational skills, solution-focused approach, and ability to confidently navigate complex local government processes. Known for her strong negotiation and communication skills, sound legal understanding, and commitment to planning ethics, she has experience solving almost any problem or stumbling block that arises, and brings a “can-do” attitude to delivering positive, practical outcomes.
