Shirley Chamberlin Principal Planner

Shirley Chamberlin is a Principal Planner at our Orewa office. She brings over 25 years of experience as an environmental planner, working in consultancy, renewable energy and local government.

She specialises in the preparation of subdivision and land-use resource consent applications. Shirley enjoys being part of a multi-disciplinary team and likes bringing together diverse technical inputs to support achieving good environmental outcomes. She is commited to managing the planning process from preliminary design to obtaining resource consent with workable conditions to enable our clients to implement projects and create great places.

Shirley is an experienced expert planning witness appearing before Council hearing panels, independent commissioners and Environment Court.

Outside of work, Shirley enjoys walking her black Labrador. Having moved from the South Island she has traded her skis for the beach and is looking forward to paddle boarding over the summer. She is passionate about the outdoors and loves nothing more than a tramp in New Zealand’s beautiful backcountry.
