Myles Goodwin appointed Director at Cato Bolam

Cato Bolam is pleased to announce that Myles Goodwin, Rural Subdivision Expert I Planning & Environmental Principal has been appointed as a Director.

Myles’ passion for New Zealand’s natural environment and helping to protect, restore and regenerate our native bush, wetland and ecology has informed and driven his career.

Myles joined Cato Bolam as a Planner / Ecologist following his graduation from Auckland University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science & Environment Management and Master of Science in Native Plant Ecology.

Over Myles’ career he has become a valued member of the company’s leadership team, managing Orewa’s Planning and Ecology team and being Cato Bolam’s rural and environmental champion.  Myles is passionate about the value add, for both landowner and the environment, through incentivised environmental protection development/subdivision.  He has advocated for win/win landowner and environmental outcomes through the last two District Plan submission and hearing processes with both the Auckland Council and the former Rodney District Council.

Through his and Cato Bolam’s work over the last 20 years, we conservatively estimate that well over a thousand hectares of New Zealand’s beautiful native bush and wetland has been protected in perpetuity for the benefit of future generations.

Having grown up on a farm, Myles enjoys nothing better than meeting clients in their own environment, discussing the best options for their land and being the lead professional through resource consent to completion.

As a people person, Myles values the friendly company culture and is excited about the growth of the business into the future.  He is particularly focused on the quality of our work, community responsibility, the personal and professional development of the Cato Bolam staff and creating great places that respect and nurture our natural environment.

His passion for our environment extends into his personal life, with time spent tramping, boating, mountain biking and environmental restoration with his 3 children on his rural property.

Please join us in congratulating Myles in becoming a Director of Cato Bolam.
