Chris Solleder Director

Chris Solleder originally joined Cato Bolam in 2004. After some time away gaining his Chartered Professional Engineer qualification, Chris returned to the company in 2011 as a Principal and in 2018, he became a Director. Chris was instrumental in setting up and overseeing our Architectural department, leveraging his decade of experience in leading medium- to high-density developments through the consent and construction processes, as well as undertaking his own developments. Chris brings a balanced and solution driven view to projects encompassing many disciplines by working closely with our architects, planners and engineers to develop coordinated project outcomes to suit our client’s needs.

Chris also manages the company’s engineering services. His expertise covers a wide range of land development engineering projects, including small and large residential, commercial, retail and industrial developments. Chris specialises in stormwater management, earthworks, roading, infrastructure, project management, contract management, development design and Resource Consenting.

Chris has an ability to identify and address complex engineering problems by developing innovative, cost-effective and practical design solutions. He is a principal advisor on our larger developments and is also involved in ensuring high engineering standards are achieved on all of our projects.

Outside work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family at the beach in Coromandel, enjoying the many water sports and activities on offer in the sleepy beachside settlement of Whangapoua. When the weather is bad, he enjoys working on the bach and tinkering on the boat. Occasionally, Chris gets to dust off the old golf clubs and attempt to relive former glory days on the golf course.
