Chris Solleder Director
Chris Solleder originally joined Cato Bolam in 2004. After some time away gaining his Chartered Professional Engineer qualification, Chris returned to the company in 2011 as a Principal. In 2018, he became a Director based in Cato Bolam’s Henderson and Manukau offices – Chris is active in growing our newest Cato Bolam office at Manukau and more recently setting up and overseeing our new Architectural department taking the last decade of experience in leading medium to high density developments through consent and construction processes and undertaking his own developments. Chris brings a balanced and solution driven view to projects encompassing many disciplines by working closely with our architects, planners and engineers to develop coordinated project outcomes to suit our clients needs.
Chris also manages the company’s engineering services. His expertise covers a wide range of land development engineering projects, including small and large residential, commercial, retail and industrial developments. Chris specialises in stormwater management, earthworks, roading, infrastructure, project management, contract management, development design and Resource Consenting.
Chris has an ability to identify and address complex engineering problems through developing innovative, cost-effective and practical design solutions. He is a principal advisor on our larger developments, and is also involved in overviewing to ensure high engineering standards are achieved on all of our projects.
Outside work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family at the beach in Coromandel, enjoying the many water-sports and activities on offer in the sleepy beach side settlement of Whangapoua. When the weather is bad, he enjoys working on the bach and tinkering on the boat. Occasionally Chris gets to dust off the old golf clubs and attempt to relive former glory days on the golf course.
