Cato Bolam Director Joe Verryt retires

On behalf of the directors and all the staff of Cato Bolam we would like to wish Joe Verryt, Cato Bolam Director, all the very best in his retirement.   Joe has made a significant contribution to the company over the last 35 years and seen many changes since joining Graham Cato and Associates as it was known back in 1984.  Joes original job application, dated 29 October 1984, noted his aspirations to become a principal in your own firm and that certainly came true.

Joe initially secured a New Zealand Certificate of Land Surveying with Murray North Partners Limited and then went on to complete his Bachelor of Surveying degree at Otago University.   Joining Cato Bolam after university, Joe joined Graham Cato and the team in West Auckland where he became a Registered Surveyor and subsequently joined Graham and the other shareholders as a director.  Joe has enjoyed a very successful career specialising in land development and subdivision.

We will miss his expertise, experience and dry humour around the office.  Joe’s commitment to our annual golf competition has been second to none and his control of the handicapping always a topic for hot debate!  A lot of water has gone under the bridge in 35 years as we say farewell and best of luck to Joe and his lovely wife Jane in their retirement.
